Watford v Everton

Last Five Meetings: W0 D2 L3

Fabian Says: Watford’s indifferent season form shows no sign of abating, having won twice out of the last five, alternating between wins and losses, though last weekend they ignored the script and lost for the second time in succession. Everton’s curious campaign continues. They are now winless in 4 and even though they battled hard to rescue a point at home to Man United last Sunday, they don’t convince me enough to believe they’ll snap this bad run. I think the Hornets should be back to winning ways.

Predicts: 2-1

Fridah Says: Everton have picked up just one point from their last five PL away matches and they could continue to struggle here. Watford are just two points behind them and I reckon that it will remain this way after the game.

Predicts: 1-1

Arsenal v Stoke City

Last Five Meetings: W2 D1 L2

Fabian Says: Aside from the shocker that was the Capital One Cup loss to Southampton, Arsenal have been in pretty good shape for months now. They have scored 9 in their last two games including that commanding 4-1 win in Basel to top their Champions League group. As decent as Stoke has been recently you’ve got to imagine this won’t be such a fruitful travel for them. So, I guess I’m saying there’s a huge possibility, the Potters’ defence permitting, of Arsenal ending the day top of the league.

Predicts: 2-0

Fridah Says: The Gunners will need to dig really deep for this one. They have struggled against Stoke in recent times and Stoke are on a decent run of form. This will be a much harder task than the last fixture. However, Arsenal have all the quality and a little bit more to get all the three points.

Predicts: 3-1

Burnley v AFC Bournemouth

Last Five Meetings: W3 D2 L0

Fabian Says: Bournemouth did the unthinkable and came back from the dead to beat Liverpool 4-3 last weekend in that epic thriller and you’ve got to fear for their next opponents, Burnley. The momentum that results from such a victory can sweep aside most teams, no less a Burnley outfit on a three-game losing streak.

Predicts: 1-2

Fridah Says: The Cherries should be high on confidence after their last three points. They should be a lot of trouble for a largely defensive Burnley side. Burnley work hard and are a tough outfit to beat. I reckon that this could end as a draw.

Predicts: 1-1

Hull City v Crystal Palace

Last Five Meetings: W2 D0 L3

Fabian Says: Palace finally managed to arrest a 6-match losing run last weekend with that impressive win over the Saints and should be slightly the more confident side in this one. The difference between the two is just 3 points and with Hull mired in the very depths of the relegation sewers, this is indeed a relegation six-pointer. Defeat here for the Tigers could be catastrophic, so expect them to leave none of their tigritude at home for this one. It will probably be an entertaining high scoring draw.

Predicts: 2-2

Fridah Says: The Eagles responded to recent trouble quite well against the Saints and I think this gives them the confidence to get the three points. The two clubs have conceded the most goals from set pieces with 13 for the Eagles and 12 for the Tigers. I think the Eagles should come away with the three points.

Predicts: 1-3

Swansea City v Sunderland

Last Five Meetings: W1 D3 L1

Fabian Says: Talk of relegation six pointers and what do you know? Here’s another one. Swansea are rooted at the bottom on 9 points, while Sunderland are 18th with 11 points. This is a huge clash at the Liberty – and that’s a massive understatement. It is the visiting Black Cats in better form, 3 wins from their last 4, but considering the high stakes here, none of that matters. I think Swansea will just about come out on top.

Predicts: 3-2

Fridah Says: A bottom of the table fixture. I think Sunderland have the edge in this one. Both teams will be in desperate need for three points but I think the Black Cats will have the edge.

Predicts: 1-2

Leicester City v Manchester City

Last Five Meetings: W1 D1 L3

Fabian Says: The champions are up against a team that I believe are the incoming champions. This will be a change in guard, if you may. Leicester’s season hit new banter levels in their midweek 5-0 thrashing in Portugal, hot on the heels of their loss to Sunderland. They may be setting a trend and not a good one at that. Man City are still that student learning a foreign language – one day absolutely brilliant, the next, sheer abject. In keeping with that trend, this will be one of those days when they impress.

Predicts: 1-4

Fridah Says: The Foxes are better at home but they come up against a Manchester City side that will be looking to make a point or three. I reckon it will be a hard day for the home team.

Predicts: 1-3

Chelsea v West Bromwich Albion

Last Five Meetings: W2 D2 L1

Fabian Says: This is a curious clash on so many levels – Conte v Pulis in the battle of the organizers, the Blues v the Baggies in the clash of two of the in form teams in the division…I could go on and on. The question really is, can the Conte juggernaut be stopped? Well, yes, but not on this occasion.

Predicts: 2-1

Fridah Says: Chelsea are looking unstoppable at the moment and I don’t think that even Pulis has an answer to this one. I think Chelsea will continue with their good run.

Predicts: 2-0

Manchester United v Tottenham Hotspur

Last Five Meetings: W2 D1 L2

Fabian Says: Oh the great days in the distance enchanted when this was a fixture steeped in Europa League madness. Oh wait, it’s back! Both these teams are once again bona fide Europa League outfits and you know when such encounters happen, it gets rather feisty. Good for us, the watchers. The fact that United play at home makes me definitely rule out them winning. So, can Spurs turn this sure draw into a win? With the form that Harry Kane is in, not to mention Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli, I think that question answers itself – in the affirmative.

Predicts: 1-2

Fridah Says: It doesn’t get easier for the Red Devils. This will be a tough game for the home team both technically and physically. I don’t think they will manage to come away with anything from this.

Predicts: 1-2

Southampton v Middlesbrough

Last Five Meetings: W2 D1 L2

Fabian Says: The Saints are starting to find life in the Premier League/Europa League juggling planet and really, it was always coming. They were bundled out of Europe on Thursday by Hapoel Beer Sheva a few days after being outclassed by Palace – not the best few days in their history. This may be a good chance for Boro to follow on their win over Hull with another victory. And I want to think they’ll take it, or at least come close enough to.

Predicts: 1-1

Fridah Says: The Saints will have to respond well to their 3-0 loss against Crystal Palace. However, they come up against a really tough opponent and this will not be easy for the home side. Could be a draw.

Predicts: 0-0

Liverpool v West Ham United

Last Five Meetings: W1 D1 L3

Fabian Says: Been a rather peaceful week online after the Liverpool’s ‘this is our year’ chants were cooled down by that demoralizing, sobering capitulation at Bournemouth. They now have to restart another winning cycle. Lucky for them, they are at home and the opponents are the plucky, free falling Hammers. I’d be really shocked if Liverpool conspire to bottle this one too. I mean it.

Predicts: 3-1

Fridah Says: Liverpool were stunned last week while West Ham were easily brushed aside. Both teams need a strong response and I think this will be a tough game despite the fact that the Hammers are looking deflated. I reckon that Liverpool will drop points against the Hammers in an exciting draw.

Predicts: 2-2
